Solicitors endure gruelling MudRunner Oblivion for the Teenage Cancer Trust

18 July 2012

Trainee solicitor, Laura Sefton, and friends of Maitland Walker LLP survived Malvern’s gruelling Mud Runner Oblivion earlier this month.

A supreme test of fitness, participants have to complete a challenging cross country course peppered with ten different tests of strength, endurance and co-ordination.

Maitland Walker’s team of five completed the course in excellent time and raised over £800 for their chosen charity - The Teenage Cancer Trust.

The event, originally due to take place on 29 April 2012, had to be postponed due to inclement weather.   The re-scheduled event took place earlier this month amidst further rain making the six mile course particularly challenging.

The Teenage Cancer Trust is a charity close to several colleagues whom work at Maitland Walker LLP.

Steve Thomas, partner in the Cheltenham office said “Maitland Walker is delighted to support such an important and worthwhile cause.  Our team of MudRunners worked incredibly hard to raise money for the charity and they put a great deal of effort into their training for the event”.

Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young people aged between13 and 24 diagnosed with cancer.
