There is just one week to go to get a Temporary Event Notice in for use on 1 December 2010. Christmas is fast approaching! If you haven’t done so already, now would be a good time to check your Premises Licence and ensure it covers both the licensable activities and the hours you wish to provide to your customers over this time.
Temporary Event Notices can add required licensable activities or to extend the hours they can be provided, as appropriate.
You are required to give 10 clear working days’ notice for all Temporary Event Notices.
Remember: -
- Each Temporary Event Notice can cover a period of up to 96 hours (i.e. 4 consecutive days), regardless of the number of “events” taking place during that time.
- However, Temporary Event Notices cannot exceed 15 days in any calendar year in respect of one premises.
- Further, you cannot have more than 12 Temporary Event Notices in any calendar year in respect of one premises.
- A Temporary Event Notice can be used not only to extend your terminal hour but to add activities not currently on your licence (e.g. regulated entertainment).
- There must be a minimum of 24 hours between Temporary Event Notices.
If you wish us to make any Temporary Event Notice applications on your behalf for the Christmas and New Year season, please contact either Lisa Croft, Michael Parrott or Rob Westwood-Payne on 01242 285855 or email us.
