Along with our commercial and corporate expertise, Maitland Walker has a thriving private client department, providing high quality advice in all aspects of conveyancing and family law, including residential property, personal taxation, wills and trusts.

The firm operates from offices in Cheltenham and Minehead with this role based in the firm's Cheltenham office. You will work principally in our company/commercial, litigation and dispute resolution, employment and commercial property teams and must have a desire to work in the business law sector.  Due to our size, our trainees are encouraged to take an active role in transactions, assume responsibility and deal directly with clients whilst at the same time being offered support and advice whenever it is needed.

Trainees at Maitland Walker are encouraged to take a reasonable level of responsibility and initiative from an early stage - all under careful supervision.

We welcome applicants who have achieved (or anticipate achieving) a 2.1 or above at degree level.  As well as clear evidence of academic ability, when recruiting, we look for candidates who have shown an interest in and commitment to the law.  Equally important in our selection critera are good inter-personal skills, and a well rounded personality.
