Maitland Walker appoint two new partners
Janice specialises in family law and joined the firm in 2012. She has extensive experience in financial dispute resolution, with a particular interest in family businesses, farming and high net worth assets. However, Janice also deals with a variety of other types of family law matters including pre-nuptial and cohabitation agreements and children matters.
Ben specialises in estate planning, wills, trusts, tax, estate administration, powers of attorney and applications to the Court of Protection. He has a particular interest in undertaking capital tax and estate planning for farming families and landed estates. He joined the firm in 2006 and has been with Maitland Walker throughout his legal career.
This latest promotion increases the number of partners to six following the recent appointment of Guy Bottard earlier this year and including Julian Maitland-Walker, Hilary Coles and Ben Slade. Following the solicitor appointments of Melanie Holder and David Hollier upon their qualification earlier this year, Maitland Walker is strengthening its foothold as a progressive firm offering high quality, partner-led advice to its clients.
Commenting on the promotions, Senior Partner Julian Maitland-Walker said that "this offers the firm the opportunity to grow and further develop the range of specialist services to clients. Janice’s strength in dealing with specialist family law issues and Ben’s strength in dealing with complex capital tax and estate planning will continue to provide immense value to our wide client base. We look forward to their continued success".
